School break ends this week. I'm actually glad to be able to go back to school next Monday. Staying at home with a jobless father is terrible, especially when said father thinks nothing of living off Mother's income and is not even bothering to go look for another job.
Oh yes, Father is now really jobless. No news from the security officer job and he doesn't care at all. He always says that he's worked enough, he's done more than his fair share for the company... Excuse me, but there was a report in the newspaper today about a 100 year old man who was forced to take a day off by his company because he just didn't want to stop working. He apparently tried to retire at age 97 but found that he couldn't take the boredom. I found it extremely ironic compared to the father I have at home who quit his job because he thinks that he's entitled to "take things slowly" and is hoping to opt for an "early retirement". Just thinking about it is enough to make my blood boil. I wanted to switch to a part-time course for my uni studies and get another job when he quit but my brother and mother wouldn't allow me to. He doesn't realize the inconvenice that he's causing everyone, and whenever Mother points out the fact that he's not earning any income for the family he gets all quiet and sullen like a sulky five-year-old brat.
And if that's not bad enough, he has absolutely nothing to do at home so all he does is either watch TV or grudgingly do some housework. His favourite hobby so far seems to be to enter my room every 15 minutes or so to see what I'm doing and comment on it. It's driving me nuts, especially if I'm listening to J-pop or reading scanlations because he will make this annoying sound of disapproval and/or say something along the lines of "I don't understand why you're so obsessed with the Japanese, you're Chinese you know". This happens EVERYTIME. About 5 times a day. EVERYDAY. He just wants to make his disapproval known to me. Why can't he just mind his own business? This is why I'm so tempted to move out.
Now for some fangirling:
Act. 28: Even a worm--15
A rough translation of the type of woman Hakkai would like to go after when he's ready, as well as the sort of husband he would be:
Hakkai: I've already decided, if I want to settle down, I'd like to find the sort of woman who can't be killed.
Gojyo: ....Huh?
Hakkai: I mean the type with a body to die for and a high-class bearing, the type of woman who wants to have children and is able to give birth to a lot of them. (My note: Does this sort of woman even exist?! O___O)
Gojyo: ... Oi, you... *sweatdrop*
Hakkai: I'm the sort who will work himself to death for a large family. On my days off I'll be considered a bother and be chased out of the house by my wife... The hen-pecked sort of husband. The only thing I'm afraid of is that when she reaches the marriageble age, my beautiful, precious daughter will be tainted by Uncle Gojyo. ^_^
Gojyo: As if I'd still be single by then!
Gojyo: ...Naturally, we'd want to think that way.
Goyjo: ...I'll look forward to her, that precious daughter you're so proud of.
Hakkai: ...But, what will we do if we're still like this when we hit 40?
Gojyo: ...Why are you counting me in as well...
These two are so precious. XD Indeed, what will they do if they're still travelling around looking for the sutras at the age of 40? XD
Yes, Wakaouji who went to America and returned to Japan. The frugal Waka-chan who doesn't own a CD-player nor a television, and instead watches whatever channel the lady boss at the restaurant he frequents happens to fancy. The teacher who is the cat-loving character for this game, and who I suspect could be related to Kei from GS1 by looks, hair color and personality. ("Uncle..." "Nephew!!") Waka-sama, the child genius with an IQ of 200 who can't cook for himself and lives off canned food when the restaurant he frequents closes down for a break. The athletic teacher who throws out his back demostrating to the students in the athletic club that no height is too high to jump over. -_- Your date who seems to find it extremely amusing whenever the Nanpa guy comes along, and who has a tendency to wander off to wherever he likes at crowded places, making you have to chase after him almost all the time, and then sheepishly admit that your roles seem to be reversed.
Ah, that klutz.
Looks like Storm in Heaven has put down Monochrome Factor (scroll down to the second last image) in its future project list. Well, they normally do great scanlations, so I'll be looking forward to it. ^_^ The series is really cute, especially the mangaka's SD drawings. The story's not bad and is developing at a steady pace. Characters are really likeable too.

Here's to another term of school.
