That fangirl feeling.

It was over lunch with [info]huahua and squealing over the guys intalking about the J-drama BOSS that I came to a startling conclusion.

How my fandom secret would look like if I ever did one. )

The opening sequence to BOSS looks more suited for a host club/bar drama, with everyone looking so suave and handsome and dangerous that you wouldn't believe it's the intro for a cop drama.

And this is random, but Basil has such a complete hero!crush on Lancia in the novel. "He is our comrade! Gentle, kind, strong-- THE PERFECT SAMURAI! /fanboys" XD

:D

Gokudera loves you!
The result of four days of doing battle with Gimp:

Sleep little one
But I keep up the good fight not to give in and register, because I. AM. STRONK.

This pushes self-insert right to its limit. (I love the plaintive little "Nobody believes me" at the end.) The responses to this secret are pretty hilarious, but my favorite has to be the one which starts off with "I am the batman" and spawns everyone coming out and claiming their true identities, from Suzaku to Hermione to "I AM GUNDAM". Which then led me to eagerly going through every single FS post after that in the hope that someone was going to wake up someday and realize that they were Giotto or Reborn in a past life. Or possibly the personification of England. Or America. Or Singapore. Or Sentosa.

On other matters:

I find this unbearably adorable yet just a little creepy at the same time. And I cannot get this song out of my head. "That what is really good and what really matters lies in the kisses/ And that's why I want kisses/ That they wake me up every morning/ That the afternoon arrives and there are still KISSES~"

Besos y'all.

I laughed like a mad thing. XD

A shorter version (now with added crotch thrusting!)

And I think this may be the one which started it all.

Oh, my aching stomach. XDD I suddenly miss Mao. :O

Translation Party

Taken from [info]daegaer: Take the first lines of your last ten stories and run each of them through Translation Party until they reach equilibrium, or until the program gives up on you. Post the results.

Reminds me of the aftermath of anything involving large amounts of alcohol. )

A friendly suggestion )

GOKUDERA RABU RABU
PLOTTY SPOILERS + FLAILING :DDDD )

In other news, looking over the Japanese text for the 七色のヘタリア動画を酒の勢いで歌ってみた or Hetalia Douga video has uncovered the fact that the term 萌えました actually does exist. o_O

How to work it into everyday conversation is another thing altogether though: "The brutal way in which the rugby players bonded moe'ed me so badly!" XD;

/is slaughtered badly by people who actually know how to use the term

I chu you buttchu! XD

Blame that blasted song that's been going around these days. At least, I think it has. (I'm slow, what can I do?)

'Buttchu' from an msn conversation with [info]theprerogative. Nobody else buttchu! :D

AKA the going home series. )

An extra to indulge my own UKJPN pairing. )

And finally the PV which started it all. )

Wolf and squirrel

5927 kyukyukyu~
Type-SK's wolf!59 and squirrel!27 as requested by [info]theprerogative. First is in reference to my LJ header pic, second to one of Type SK's four panels. I'm so sorry that it sucks. ;_;

First and second. )
I'm still here
While eating strawberries:

Mother: These Korean strawberries are so sweet! ^_^
[info]tokei: *looking at box the berries came in* American strawberries.
Mother: *patiently* No, Korea.
[info]tokei: Since when was America in Korea?
Mother: America meh?
[info]tokei: AMERICA, CALIFORNIA. SEE. MY GEOGRAPHY NOT THAT BAD YET.
Mother: ...HUH?! I THOUGHT I BOUGHT KOREAN STRAWBERRIES????
[info]tokei: OTL

We now return to your regularly scheduled fandom blather.

So, these past two weeks have had me fangirling madly over OPs and EDs.

FMA: Brotherhood )

KHR OP + ED, I have lost count of what number this is. )
._.
So I was at the LC Kino the other day with a friend when I spotted this anthology.

[info]tokei: SO PRETTY! LOOK LOOK LOOK!
Friend: *picks up* *reads out loud*

[info]tokei: %^*^^*$%$^%*&&^ WHY IS THAT THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE WHY. D< OTL

And now have Hetalia crap!crack!fic.

Japan proves his point. )

And apparently my parents have decided to participate in Earth Hour on their own accord. ._.

EDIT: Earth Hour is over! I spent it reading by the light of the camping lamp my mother had bought earlier. It turned out to be useful for something after all! :D Am thinking about buying another to put in my room. It is so small. So cute. And it is by Energizer, which always reminds me of that horrendously pink bunny whizzing by at high speed while furiously drumming its little life away.

A small reminder of lessons past

  • Jan. 31st, 2009 at 10:52 AM
Sleep little one
I don't remember ANY of my history lessons from secondary school. The only thing I remember about that period of time was memorizing endless pages of text about countries that didn't seem to have anything to do with me.

And then Hetalia comes along, ten years later, and I wish it had existed when I was back in school. XD History lessons would have been so different. The pages of my history textbook would have been covered with relevant doodles instead of crap, for one.

I was looking through the art entries on the Hetalia general comm when I came across these sketches of the Axis and Allied Powers. ([info]youkofujima awesome, AWESOME artist, why are there so many talented people on the Internet WHY.)

Thinking that it looked a little familiar, I went off to watch the debut episode of the anime.

I will never forget which side is which again. )

Poor Germany looks so stressed out, even when toasting. Well, I would too if I had to drink out of what he's holding.

To love, liberty and freedom )

Random fandom:
- Lupin VS Conan promises to be interesting.

And this is most probably all over the Internet already, but latest FFXIII trailer.

MAPLE!! DX

  • Jan. 23rd, 2009 at 3:43 PM
._.
Am currently comfortably closeted in a cubicle at Manga Kissa, waiting to go to dinner with my classmates later. I have a huge monitor in front of me, four walls around me and a comfy massage chair under me. I IS CONTENT. XD

Things that made me smile in the past hour:
- Pretty, pretty new KHR cards~

Yamamoto looks intellectual for once! :o Am very amused at Lambo's attempt to cook and the label of the bottle he's holding. And I honestly thought that Bianchi was Gojyo and was very puzzled until I took a closer look.

I really like it when mangaka was consistant in their character designs.

- Drunk UK is the strongest. XD I love how Poland thinks that France can be used as a talisman against UK and that it actually works until UK decides to hit the bottle and return. That last panel is pure AHAHAHA OH BOY YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT NOW XD

If England really does like to feel the breeze so much he should get along well with Italy, who seems to have similar issues with clothes at bedtime.

- I'm Italy and You're Germany

AHAHAHAHA BOINK BOINK BOINK GERMANY~~~~~ NUZZLE NUZZLE XD

I love the horrified look on the soldier's face in the second last panel and what he's thinking. "Not only was he able to tame them, he mastered their behavioral patterns!!"
Italy = a wild breed of fuzzy animal, yes. X3

- Poor, poor Canada! His presence is so weak that not even his pet bear remembers him! D: No wonder he's stoned half the time.

Canada's cry of "MAPLE!" reminds me of the England team's Happy London?! in Yakitate Japan. XD

...This somehow turned into a Hetalia fanpost. Heh.
._.
Random Remark 1: Re: KHR 225, Xanxus gets the best of both worlds. Byakuran and Tsuna are going to need some really awesome box animals to beat that. Like exploding dinosaurs, for example.

RR2: Finally found the source site for some of my 5927 icons taken from the general comm. Most of the strips there made me giggle like mad, but this series had me ROFL. XD

RR3: I really need to organize my bookmarks one day.

RR4: KKnM has a blog now! :D

RR5: For [info]marone: Look, look! Nendoroid Sebastian! ♥♥♥ More details here.

RR6: Because I is a spesul person, I got a papercut. From my showerhead. Erm. ._.
._.
So I stopped playing Crisis Core for a while and started in on Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology instead.

Playing this brings back memories~ I can still remember playing the original Tales of Destiny and Tales of Eternia on the PS1. :D I wonder if Namco will import the rest of the Tales series to PSP anytime soon, I wouldn't mind replaying them all over again.

The game is set in an AU with most of the Tales of series characters in it, and it's basically just an ENORMOUS series of side-quests. You advance the main storyline through completing the main quests highlighted. It's quite fun, you get to make your own character at the beginning and a wise-ass flying cat follows you throughout the game, dispensing advice and making some of the most adorable 'PANIC!!' faces ever. ♥ I feel like Card Captor Sakura with Kero-chan.

Then there are the random character skits which I absolutely LIVE FOR. One particularly memorable one was between Llyod and Reid, where they were talking about their free-form fighting styles.

Reid: You just know that if someone comes at you like nyuh you counter it like nyah!
Lloyd: Wait, like nyah? See, I'd counter it with wacha!
Reid: Wacha? What the heck is that?
Lloyd: Well, what the heck is nyah?
[After a few more lines of dialogue]
Lloyd: It's swelling up like 'Whoa' inside me!
Reid: It's like a 'Haaa!' inside me!

I DIED LAUGHING. XD XD Apparently the Yamamoto School of Good Speaking isn't limited to the KHR universe. XD

There was also a main quest titled 'Find Lloyd', and I honestly thought I had to look for this Lloyd and not this one. *sighs with disappointment*

And a random testament to how I am too easily amused: Dividing three by eleven on a ten-digit calculator and seeing the result made me giggle helplessly for a good while and then realize just what a sad, sad fangirl I am. T.T

Falling into my fandom all over again

  • Jan. 11th, 2009 at 11:15 AM
of birds and turtles and illusions
This post and this, so pretty. *_*

(The MukuHiba card in the first post looks like it'd make a great movie poster for some arty-angsty film with a title like 'Let The Rain Fall' in bold, dramatic font across it.

Also, TsunaKyoko makes me go AWWWW-so-sweet-my-teeth-ache. Ryohei looks suspiciously stoned in the second poster at the bottom.)

And now for something only locals would understand. Well, I think. )

So the other day [info]huahua and I went down to Manga Kissa (please be amusing yourself with engrish on site). The place was deserted save for one customer and the cashier, but that was to be expected since we went on a weekday afternoon. It's an extremely quiet place, perfect for cloistering oneself in one of the computer cubicles and taking a nap. It mostly stocks both old and new Japanese manga and magazines, with a really small selection of translated manga in Chinese and English. From what we saw, people mostly go there to surf the Net and work, with most of them bringing their own laptops.

Excellent toilets though. It says something about me that I think this is worth mentioning.

A day summed up in moving pictures

Anime episodes this week were absolute ♥. Jigoku Shojou, KHR, even Glass Mask and Skip Beat! :D

Oh those eyes, those ROFL eyes~ )

BTW, House Bunny is slightly, ever so slightly > Max Payne. I almost slept through all the excessive slow motion used in the latter. -_- The CG was really pretty though.

Humans are not meant to be this beautiful

So someone I know emailed me these cosplay photos that had me flailing about all over the room for a minute (In a good way! A good way!).

Very photo-intensive post under the cut, all quite work-safe.

'[...]Some enthusiastic Photoshop work has yielded some striking results.'. Methinks that is an understatement. )

I think I messed up the formatting somewhere along the way. Oh well.

But which women, sir?

"Because it's so simple, it's impossible to mask imperfections."
--Genius Patissier Ono-sama, AKA the Demonic Gay (no really, that's what he calls himself, Mashou no Gay, OH I LAUGHED SO HARD XD)
Antique Bakery Episode 10

BAKING: IT IS THE NEW ZEN. But of course, fans of "Yakitate Japan!" already know that.

My Human Resource Management lecturer's a hoot. XD When talking about an essential chapter in the syllabus titled "Women in organizations" and how a question on it will definitely appear in the exam, he said, I quote:
"So if you don't know how to do the other five questions, don't worry. WOMEN WILL COME AND SAVE YOU."

The entire class LOL'ed while he looked very pleased with himself. XD

I think I will actually pay attention during class for this subject, if only for the chapter titles I've seen so far alone. Chapter 2 is "Psychological Contracts" and chapter 3 is "Organizational Justice". XD If my lecturer comes to class in a distinctly fruity hairstyle for the former and a spiky one for latter I will fall out of my chair laughing and never pick myself up again. XD

On the Altor translation front, I'm at the part where I can name the screencaps gallery "The Vongola: Dysfunctional Family Much?" or in simpler terms: 1st Mist Guardian goes "KU HA HA HA" with sharp pointy object, Giotto goes "A HA HA HA THIS IS GREAT NEW CHALLENGER :D :D", and Paolo and Riccardo go "................." a lot and are resigned.

...I am having so much LOVE for Giotto right now. XD The man deserves a fanclub of his very own, dammit.

On a last note: This song? From this video. I had it on repeat the entire day once. Shake that booty, Mukuro. XD

Best line in Goblet of Fire )

Recent PVs:

Gackt- Arittake no Ai de
As my brother puts it: "You know those people who say that they hear voices in their heads telling them to do stuff? Well, now we know that it's actually little Gackts sitting in their ears controlling them!"

I still don't get the impersonator (where the hell did he come from?), and my favourite moment has to be the bride's ex-boyfriend singing along and being psychotically happy after being de-railed from his original motive, and the way his two lines of dialouge has two or three exclaimation marks. "Futari deeeeee!!!"

Gackt's hair... Why can't he go back to having the nice, long hair he had during his Malice Mizer days? Look, see! He was too pretty for words then! He would have been the perfect model for some lovesick shoujou manga! >_<

Nami Tamaki - Believe

Nice dancing, but doesn't really match up to the song, for some reason. The cosplay bits were really cool though.

I've been meaning to watch the Gundam Seed series for some time, but I never do. The last Gundam I ever watched was Gundam Wing, and then I went online and was promptly corrupted by the amount of yaoi OOC, PWP fanfiction and number-pairing. I even wrote something back then about the G-Wing boys trying to open a jar of jam, ripped off from a chapter of "You're Under Arrest!"

Still can't tell if those days were good or the opposite.

What's with all the bits with naked people in all the Gundam Seed openings? Expression of freedom overdose? Or just plain fanservice?
