And apparently my parents have decided to participate in Earth Hour on their own accord. ._.

EDIT: Earth Hour is over! I spent it reading by the light of the camping lamp my mother had bought earlier. It turned out to be useful for something after all! :D Am thinking about buying another to put in my room. It is so small. So cute. And it is by Energizer, which always reminds me of that horrendously pink bunny whizzing by at high speed while furiously drumming its little life away.

White Day was a big blur to me, now that I think about it. ._.

What little I can remember:
Court Open House:
- Going through metal detectors and security checks
- Impressive-looking rooms
- Nice view from the top
- The unveiling of my monument XD
- Someone threatening to push someone else down the escalator (suspect the two parties involved were half_sleeping and thelovemafia, only I forgot who was doing the threatening)
- Being ambushed for a hug and a choke/strangle-hold, followed by profuse disowning of people

Lunch:
- Pretty beer bottles
- Metaphors flying about metaphorically
- half_sleeping being slightly traumatized \o/
- Ice-cream!

Watchmen:
- A lot of talking
- Quite a bit of action scenes, actually, contrary to what a friend's friend said. But I can understand how a person could fall asleep during it what with it being 2.5 HOURS LONG.
- Ooh, blood.
- Ooh, violence.
- Flamin' hormones
- Big blue glowing nekkid men
- A quote from today's papers: 'If I were all-powerful I would have made it a lot bigger.'
- I didn't like the fact that that guy had to die in the end too. It just didn't seem fair somehow. He was so kick-ass! D:

This is truly a day for fandom~ ♥

Am currently laughing my ass off at Hetalia, (official site here) because:
i. Russia is topping the world and loving it
ii. Anerica has laid claim on ownership of the Internet
iii. Southern Italy and France are waging the most epic and graphic foodfight EVER
iv. I am apparently Lithuania WHY.
But, perhaps it is because of this sort of personality that he holds the infamous record of having the highest suicide rate of the world. ToT

I have always liked the Vocaloid series. The list of Vocaloid YouTubes in my bookmarks is almost as long as the list for Reborn videos. Which actually says quite a lot about the insane amount of time I spend procrastinating on the Net.

Then I was introduced to the video below, which according to the original source was created and released in honor of the Vocaloid Meiko's birthday.

I am now officially in ♥. :D

The animation! The amount of effort it must have taken to do this frame by frame! It-it has an actual video display in the background, and moving strobe and overhead lights that change colors!

Not to mention the number of times the creator must have watched the orginal video to get all the movements down exactly! (The uniforms in the original video look a lot like Kokuyo's. This makes me very glad that Chrome does not have pink frilly flouncy petticoats under her skirt. =_=)

Taking all of the above into consideration, I also find it amazing that someone actually went to the trouble of translating the original song from Mandarin into Japanese, and then using the software to tune and synthesize it to make it sound so natural. At the risk of getting bashed by Wang Xin Ling (王心凌) fans, I must say that this Vocaloid version far outshines the original video. And singer. It is very sad when a human flesh and blood idol gets upstaged by a voice synthesis software.

Most of all, THE ANIMATION. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EVERYTHING. MOVES. The background, the hair and accessories of each Vocaloid, the camera, bloody hell, even Meiko's BOOBS bounce a little. (No, I'm serious, look closely. And never ask why I noticed, I just did.) Do you have any idea how much time and tweaking the creator must have taken and done to add in all those little details?

Being all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aside, I laugh at how manly Kaito has become. XD And that he has, uhm, blue fingernails. O_O



But despite this fact, the poor man only gets less than five seconds of screen time.

Even Miku gets included in the ending group shot, whereas Kaito...



...Is labeled as absent and has his photo added in as an afterthought. XD Poor guy!

I JUST. CANNOT. STOP. WATCHING.

Observations on KHR chapt219:
- Re: Chapter cover: I kind of expected a completely paperless world ten years into the future, especially since this is the Reborn! universe we're talking about. Now I realize this is to be said in much the same way as people ten years ago expected us to be living on the moon by now.

The old school headphones! That cassette tape in the corner! The many vials of eyedrops scattered around him! Irie is clearly an old soul in a uke young body.

- "Normally everything I do is under 24-hour surveillance by my subordinates and the cameras which transmit directly to Byakuran-sama."
Meaning that the Millefiore never really trusted him from the very beginning? No wonder Irie had to become an Oscar-winning actor.

On another note, this is most probably one of the reasons why Byakuran looks so amused all the time. "Silly Shou-chan, you should know by now that condensation doesn't work on the cameras in the showers."

- I was wondering why everyone hadn't been released from the giant capsule since Irie declared himself an ally, then I realized this was a smart move on Irie's part. With everyone being understandably not in the best of moods at the moment, it would have been best to keep all of them separated for the time being.

Besides, being half-throttled and out-shouted by Tsuna of all people is enough to make one go ._. let alone releasing everyone else to join in. On the other hand, it's a refreshing change to see Tsuna be righteously furious for once.

Poor Shou-chan! That isn't just bad temper, Spanner, it's frustration and stomach problems finally getting the best of the man. "Do you have any idea how stressful it is to be watched 24/7?! I have absolutely no privacy whatsoever, I have countless stomach ulcers from the stress of having to pretend all the time while worrying about being exposed any minute, and now that I can finally relax a little and stop acting all of you come and yell at me for telling you the truth, which was what you wanted in the first place. - Seeing as how TYL!Reborn was excluded from the plan, it looks like it's true that Reborn is dead by then. T_T

- Byakuan = Next Big ThingDictator. So shouldn't it be 'ominous clouds of doom and destruction' and not 'shining rays of the sun' screen tone in his background, Amano-sensei?

- Laughing over the Varia's crest and pro-IX anti-X flags. XD

Wait, so Levi made the flags? I cannot imagine that man with a sewing machine, I just can't. I'd have thought that was more of Lussuria's thing.

- Am still very pointedly NOT looking at Levi and Lussuria. D: Seeing a bigger version of this spread now has made me realize that I know a guy who can cosplay TYL!Lussuria perfectly. URK. orz And all of them still look like they're going to leap heroically off the balcony once they're done posing for the spread.

Yes, I should think so too, after waiting around for 82 chapters.

So does this mean BIG BAD Varia VS Millefiore battle coming up next? *flails with excitement and anticipation* :D :D Long, drawn out battles by seemingly undefeatable foes are common in shounen manga, but let us hope that there will be no more of this 'KO by unexpected architecture' business, yes?

Everyone was PWNED. So. Badly.

Observations of KHR 218
- For some reason, I'm relieved that Spanner's parachutes survived Genkishi.

- So Genkishi was telling the truth after all, when he said that his illusions were tied to the life force of Tsuna's family. This is based on page 4 when Gokudera mumbles "What a nightmare, strangling the Tenth's throat" when waking up.

- MR. YAMAMOTO TAKESHI. You have been unconscious for eighteen chapters now. And now Amano-sensei decides to dose you with sleeping gas on top of having you slam into a wall. Clearly she likes you better KO'ed.

- I like that full-frontal shot of Kusakabe's face on page 5. He looks so... serious. It's the first time we actually get to see him properly, instead of just a side-profile when he's reporting to Hibari. Lal, on the other hand, looks squashed in the last panel.

- Reborn disagreeing with Irie on a part of his explanation has me wondering just how much of what Irie said was true and how much wasn't. Who knows what now?

- Irie: "I thought I'd try it out just once." Uhm, try what? Being the big bad intellectual villain behind the scenes?

- The last spread of Irie, with his mused-up hair and "That was exhausting, I'm so glad it's over" expression. Just how many "Blood Peppers" T-shirts does the man own, and doesn't he ever get tired of them?
