A small reminder of lessons past

Sleep little one
I don't remember ANY of my history lessons from secondary school. The only thing I remember about that period of time was memorizing endless pages of text about countries that didn't seem to have anything to do with me.

And then Hetalia comes along, ten years later, and I wish it had existed when I was back in school. XD History lessons would have been so different. The pages of my history textbook would have been covered with relevant doodles instead of crap, for one.

I was looking through the art entries on the Hetalia general comm when I came across these sketches of the Axis and Allied Powers. ([info]youkofujima awesome, AWESOME artist, why are there so many talented people on the Internet WHY.)

Thinking that it looked a little familiar, I went off to watch the debut episode of the anime.

I will never forget which side is which again. )

Poor Germany looks so stressed out, even when toasting. Well, I would too if I had to drink out of what he's holding.

To love, liberty and freedom )

Random fandom:
- Lupin VS Conan promises to be interesting.

And this is most probably all over the Internet already, but latest FFXIII trailer.

NaNoWriMo starts today. Give us a one-sentence description of the novel you plan to write.

As this is one story that I'll never write, I'm going to cheat and use more than one sentence: The village dullard finds a fox-spirit in the forest one day, looking for something precious that she has lost but cannot describe. She enlists his help in finding it and together they fight crime embark on an epic and mind-blowing journey through snow-covered mountains, bamboo glades, and ancient Japan.

Anime episodes this week were, hmm, just like that, I suppose? Kuroshitsuji episode 2 had a few moments of dodgy art, but I'm glad to see that everything went back to normal by episode 3. Skip Beat is still following the manga chapters, but I really prefer the manga. I-I had such high hopes for the anime, and for it to turn out so bland.... T_T

Jigoku Shojou Mitsuganae Ep 2: Now with the kancho to end all kanchos. )

KHR 105, or the reason for the title of this post. )

And because I have no idea where this is supposed to go in the LJ settings, crediting [info]tsunayoshi for the Tsuna mood theme. Tsuna, so colorful!
